Instant Karma’s Gonna Get You

August 3, 2009

My wife was out the other day when instant karma hit. She had been driving down a main road near our house and was approaching a red light. She stopped a little distance from the light and was slowly coming to a stop when a car whipped in front of her, causing her to slam on her brakes, honk her horn, leave skid marks on the pavement, her belongings flying all over the place. The car behind her also had to slam on the brakes, leaving skid marks, and narrowly missed rear-ending her. She gave the guy who cut her off the “what’s up” arms in the process. This dude proceeded to unfold over 300 pounds out of his car and come with aggressive fists toward my wife in her car. God bless her, said she went into a calm state and that if she was going down she was leaving a mark. No need.

(insert wicked guitar riff)

Instant karma’s gonna get you

Gonna knock you right on the head

From behind her came the sound:

“Get the f**k back in your car now and pull the f**k over!”

The guy pulled this little stunt right in front of a cop. Pwned.

      Hi Molamola –

If you are referring to the word pwned – it is a term that basically means “owned” as in dominated or humiliated. Like “I owned you in that game.” According to urbandictionary.com:

      Pwned –

A corruption of the word “Owned.” This originated in an online game called Warcraft, where a map designer misspelled “owned.” When the computer beat a player, it was supposed to say, so-and-so “has been owned.”

Instead, it said, so-and-so “has been pwned.”

It basically means “to own” or to be dominated by an opponent or situation, especially by some god-like or computer-like force.
“Man, I rock at my job, but I still got a bad evaluation. I was pwned.”

      Hope that helps!
